4 strategies to deal with our inner critic
Modern society is turning us against ourselves. Let’s take hold of our mental health.
The modern society has rendered our relationship with ourselves even more complex. It seems that we are not good enough whatever we do.
The conversations we have with ourselves can be positive self-talks or full of negativity which can posed as major obstacles in our journey.
Our thoughts define how we feel and how we proceed our daily lives. Telling ourselves we are not good enough or we will never be successful can be detrimental to our self-worth and overcoming our fears.
Based on my own experiences and conversations with my coachees, here are my four strategies to be better equipped to calm our inner critic:
1. A place of acknowledgement
Just like you acknowledge receipt of an email, acknowledge receipt of your accomplishment.
Say that you duly note the efforts you put in and appreciate the outcome, whatever it is. I recently started incorporating deeper yoga practices in my daily life.
