5 Questions To Decide Whether You Should Resign, Inspired By The Banker Who Now Makes Jam
Greetings from Ottawa.
Day 5 of my notice period and I decided to give the digital nomad life a try. Took the train early this morning and working from a café. I believe the reality of quitting has not sunk in yet or maybe it has and am over it.
What I can tell you right now is that this life is very real.
There is an elderly lady sitting at a cute desk with her laptop.
A grandpa quietly sipping his coffee by the fireplace. Nobody else is here for lunch actually, everybody is working with really serious look on their faces.
My friend is sitting in front of me, typing furiously. I would like to tell her a joke but did not want to disturb her. I have yet to get used to this life.
I came across an article in Bloomberg while reading on the train about the banker who quit his investment banking career to start a jam making business in Italy.
So, it is not only the great resignation but some of us are actually going back to our roots.
In the article it is mentioned: ‘after four years…he decided he’d had enough’. But it goes on to talk about something even more interesting: (and I quote) ‘the end of a temporary, pandemic…
