These conversations serve no purpose.

Unless it is a brainstorm session with actual solutions, these are just distractions where people can indulge in negativity while making it sound intellectual.

No 7 is subjective, I believe but I have so much more time ever since I stopped watching TV. Try it and let me know.

1. I do not know where this nation is heading

Well nobody does. Even virologists do not know where coronavirus is heading.

But chances are this conversation will advance towards some kind of political debate.

Being knowledgeable about your country’s political landscape is extremely important but talking about it leads to nowhere.

I have friends who majored in politics so my dinner conversations steer towards politics at some point, we keep in short then move to other things.

Unless somebody has a constructive idea on how to make the nation better (or actually acting on it!), this is an absolute time waster.

It only serves to win points on the arguments and go home with an inflated sense of ego.
