The context

My 2022 was a shitshow on two major levels: professional and romantic. That is enough to dampen anybody’s spirit, I think?

My online dates were either non-events or downright heartbreaking and I heard crickets for the sheer efforts I put into my business.

But personally, I have been the happiest I have ever been.

Because I refused to go down without a final showdown, I wrote a short book based on the experience of living happily in spite of having not such a great year, financially and relationship-wise.

After I hit publish

Something weird happened and I was hyper-aware of it. While I sat down to analyse my bank accounts and plan my strategies to keep afloat for next year, I was doing it joyfully.

I was not stressed, my mind was clear and in fact, I was humming. I was excitedly looking at my dwindling savings after a year of living my passion and looking forward to next year with gusto.

And it was all due to a small win.

The progress principle
