2023, oh what a year already! Does it feel like time is flying? Yes, the year is going to pass us by in a jiffy. And it is not just you, so don’t worry. We all feel it. Times are evolving rapidly and we are in for even greater changes.

Before I start sounding like a prophet, here is a disclaimer (and you know you have been in corporate for too long when you start everything with a disclaimer):

This post is for infotainment purposes only. Please do not use it as a base for any financial decisions or life decisions without consulting professionals in their own field.

I don’t have a magic crystal ball, so this is purely my thoughts and opinions collected from my observations, my interactions with others, what I have read and my experience.

The era of Asian hegemony

According to the Economist, India’s population is expected to peak at 1.7bn in 2064 and is expected to provide more than a sixth of the increase of the world’s working-age population (15–64 years) between now and 2050. India also has a rising middle class. This marks India’s growing importance on the world map, both as a provider of manpower and as a target market.
