How to play the game of life: 8 tips from a 1925 book
The game of life and how to play it is a book that seem to be a precursor of modern day spirituality
This book is 97 years old, yet the lessons could be applied to the modern world. While it is heavily laden with religious words, it delivers powerful messages that could be beneficial to our lives.
I found it to be very spiritually uplifting and below are my key takeaways:
1. What you give, you will receive
The author, Florence Scovel Shinn seemed very much ahead of her time. She talks about how life is a game to be played and not a struggle to be fought. If we think about it, we spent life in survival mode instead of thriving.
One needs to have knowledge of the spiritual laws as she calls it to play the game of life.
You will receive what you give. Also known as Karma.
2. The power of visualisation
This one reminds me of the visualisation technique spoken about in the law of attraction and the book the secret.
Well it seemed it was not so much a secret if it has been around in the 20’s. What we think and picture will manifest itself. Which is why it is important to use this careful.
