On Finding The Fearlessness Of Our Youth
Do you remember the days when you would jump into a pool heads-on without thinking about how your hair will look after?
Do you remember when you had plans to start a revolution and felt all idealistic about how you were going to change the world?
Do you remember when you used to crawl then all of a sudden you took your first step but there was no self-consciousness?
I pondered for a long while on who I was in my twenties. I had dreams to change the world, not only to have an impact but to change the entire course of the world.
I was high on optimism and my sense of justice was untamed. But then life happened: bills to pay, office politics, other constraints.
Adulthood crept in. Realism sets in.
Gradually, our ideals and our dreams take a backseat. We look at others having success and living their dreams and we make excuses. They did not have the constraints I had otherwise I would have made it too.
But we still can. I am on a mission to find the drive and idealism of my twenties, that carefree attitude which made me feel like I can do anything.
