Putin And Personal Development
As Putin confirms himself into a dictator, I am more and more convinced about the dire need for self-improvement and doing inner work for world leaders.
If only he worked on his empathy, he would understand the pain he was inflicting on thousands of innocents.
If only he worked on self-worth, he would not need to validate his ego by crushing a country that meant no harm.
If only he worked on self-awareness, he would not need to resort to lies among his fellow countrymen.
If only he worked on finding peace within himself, he would not need to be in this constant attention seeking mode.
If only somebody sent him to therapy years ago.
He rose to worldwide prominence a long time back. He was voted Time’s magazine Person of the Year in 2007 and power is known to get to people’s heads fast.
A study (Obhi, Hogeveen and Inzlicht at University of Toronto) has shown that power fundamentally changes how the brain operates.
But it is fairly likely that for leaders like him; once the power bug hits, it escalates along with the influence too, making it hard for others to interfere and manage their control.
