I am currently back home, on an island, for two weeks. It feels like a month. It feels like time has slowed down. But it has not. My mind has.

Yesterday I sat at a coffee shop by the beach with my laptop. My hands refused to write. My soul had to take in all that beauty. I guess someday I will put to words what I have seen. Just not now.

This is the slow life, when the thoughts quietened and a sense of serenity washes over you. Almost like a gentle forcefulness. It is weird. I guess it is my go-getter body trying to fight relaxation.

This morning I took a long drive by the coast, I was cruising at 60 kmph. Cars were overtaking me one by one.

I was happily driving behind a lorry, music blasting from the car speakers. I had a destination, just no deadline to get there.

The mad rush

With humanity having moved indoors because of the pandemic, one might think the mad rush was over. Reduced commutes or morning rushes with the closures of the offices.

But the fast-paced life is still there, the world is still moving very fast and will move faster in the future.
