There Are Only Three Types Of Writers On Medium and Only One Leads To Quick Success
I started writing and reading consistently at the end of 2021 and so far, I have only seen three main themes of writing. The first one is using writing as a marketing tool and how to make money.
This is the best way to make money quickly as it gives people practical tools to build side hustles and sales skills. The second type is the passionate writer.
This person writes about his or her own experiences, own opinions and heavy on emotions. I really enjoy this type of writing, which gives us a respite from the fake and superficial world we live in.
The third kind is one I will not dwell on but mostly consists of self-proclaimed writing critics on Medium.
Online writing for marketing
What I realised is online writing is very different from writing. At least what I thought writing would look like when I used to call myself an aspiring writer.
I guess I read too many novels. Online writing is straight to the point and the shorter more concise the sentences the better.
