Why You Need To Travel To Write Better Stories
Mark Twain said: Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.
I think travel is also essential for writers at some point in their lives. Traveling could just be to the city next door or getting out of your province. It does not need to be to an exotic location that is Instagram friendly.
I fear with long standing travel restrictions and border closures that we are losing our outlook on the world. We forgot what first-hand accounts of travel stories feel like.
It is time to get back on the road and get inspired by the beautiful people around the world.Travelling is also a great muse for writers, especially when you find yourself lost for words.
Traveling for inspiration
There is no better cure for writer’s block than having new experiences. Meeting new people and seeing new places provide the right inspiration to create that story that you want.
Hit the road and embark upon new adventures, you will be amazed by how ideas will flow.
Sometimes it is a mere switch of scenery. Or like me, a major temperature shock from -20 degrees to 35 degrees (Celsius)…
