The context

I went through what seems to be my 100th romantic disappointment recently. What I feel is tired and am ready to take a break, at least from dating and away from relationship expectations.

Ironically, as a coach, I know how to motivate myself and my clients. Goals and success stories speak to me. Yet, when it comes to relationships, I have become clueless or at least that is what post-pandemic dating looks like to me.

As much as I know that previous patterns from my past should not define my future, the relationship is a complicated dance between two persons. And it seems nobody is keen to tango with me at present.

My emotional quota when it comes to love has been emptied. As much excitement I feel for my business, I have recently become very blasé when it comes to dating and finding someone.

So I asked myself the question that should not be asked (like the one whose name should not be pronounced in the Harry Potter series)

Am I that hard to love?

Gasps.

I refused to answer the question but one thing I knew for sure is, that I am drained, romantically speaking.
