You Are Not Made for A 9-5? Here Is What You Should Do
I recently wrote an article about signs that can tell whether you are not cut for corporate life. As someone who has quit the workforce a few times, gone on sabbaticals and started freelance businesses, I am sharing my tips and insights.
Above all, it is one thing to know that you want to quit your job and another to figure out what to do next. The most shocking thing I have noticed, especially after giving my letters of resignation (because there have been a few, I have worked in a few countries as well) is that people know that they are not meant for the job yet they will never leave.
They will admire you, and tell you you are brave and lucky but they will not move in the direction of their dreams. Don’t let that be you.
1. Passion is overrated, professionally speaking
One of the biggest lessons of my early thirties is this idea of passion being overrated. I was not entirely correct. Passion is necessary for life, it provides drive and meaning to an otherwise routine life.
